Prof. Zhu Min (Deputy Managing Director of the IMF) gave a talk in Hong Kong on 3 May 2018.

On top of Professor Zhu’s gorgeous speech style, his illustration using big data to analyze the world economy, the global landscape, and the changing trends of the past decades was admirable. For example, he turned the GDP by countries analysis into a multi-dimensional analysis of the trade volume and financial transactions in sub-regions. Presenting in vivid and readable charts, Professor Zhu analyzed the impact of the current Sino-U.S. trade disputes on different countries. The unique analyses are absolutely refreshing.
