What is a New Economy Enterprise?
To enhance Hong Kong’s competitiveness as an international financial center, and attract more innovative industrial companies with high growth potential to list and raise funds in Hong Kong. On 30 April 2018, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange added a new chapter to the listing rules, allowing more flexibility in accepting some new economy companies. For instance, accept companies with weighted voting right structure, or biotech companies that have not yet earned income, to apply for listing in Hong Kong.
