Dr Larence Wong went to Nansha, Guangzhou with a group of professional friends and other investment experts during 25th and 26th of April. They gathered at the Nansha Jinmao Marriott Hotel and had dinner with the Fok Ying Tung Research Institute of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. They learned more about the current situation of some innovative companies and the current investment environment in Nansha.
On the 26th of April, Dr Wong participated in the “Guangdong and Hong Kong Concentric, Innovation and Win-win” symposium held by ICBC International in Nansha with more than a hundred business leaders, investors and professionals.

After the symposium, Dr Wong visited the artificial intelligence technology company “Yuncong Technology”. Then he went to the Huangge Operation Center for on-site inspection, communication and test drive of the “Pony.ai” self-driving start-up. He experienced first-hand how a car without a driver can perfectly integrate with other means of transportation on normal roads in the city. It is fast and safe, and our horizons were opened. It is estimated that the time for real public operation will not be far away, and then we can summon driverless taxis at will.
