The second module of INED Advanced Training Program was successfully held on 8 Jan 2020.

As the chairman of the Training & Accreditation Committee, Dr. Lawrence Wong helped in the design of the Training Program. At first, Dr. Lawrence Wong explained the overall design of the training program and then introduced Barry Tong, an expert in forensic investigation, to provide professional knowledge about Deep Dive of Fraud Investigation for INEDs.

As the partner and head of forensic advisory services of Grant Thornton Hong Kong, Berry Tong shared a recent forensic research report and several case studies in details, to demonstrate some real-life challenges facing listed companies, regulatory enforcement actions as well as forensic accounting investigation and methodologies.

 

 

Additionally, as the program director, Dr. Lawrence Wong also conducted supplementary analysis on related topics from a professional academic perspective, helping learning partners understand the importance of forensics and fraud investigations.
