As a 1st year graduate and a preparation committee member, Dr. Lawrence Wong was glad to have both the President and Vice President of CUHK joining to celebrate this great event on 3 June 2016 and met with over 200 Statistics alumni.
The President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor Joseph J. Y. Sung was invited to deliver a speech in order to congratulate and celebrate this remarkable event. His sense of humor indeed added extra fun and joy to the celebration.

Alumni Association of Department of Statistics, the Chinese University of Hong Kong

Mission: To strengthen bonds between members of the association and promote the welfare and assist in the future development of statistics department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Bearing a history of 30 years, the Statistics Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong has reared various statistics talents for the Hong Kong Society. The Alumni Association of of the Statistics Separtment serves as a bridge of connecting alumni and graduates of the statistics department and also manifesting the spirit of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Recently, the Statistics Department has been ranked no.1 in terms of the Research Assessment Exercise in all the UGC-Funded universities, which proves the excellent teaching quality and the high research standard attained by the department.
