In order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Consumer Council, a cocktail party was specially held at the Hong Kong Convention Center. Chief Executive Li Ka-chiu was invited as the officiating guest that night. Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po, Attorney General Lam Ting-kwok and a number of senior government officials, members of the Legislative Council, members of the Executive Council, and professionals from all walks of life were invited. People, business leaders, etc. gathered together to celebrate the Consumer Council’s more than 50 years of serving the people of Hong Kong.
